Cliff note version. Jericho out, cuts promo burying Dean with his own plant, Cass comes out. Main event created off of that. Ziggler jobs, Corbin wins. Wrestlers past their prime teamed up with wrestlers being wasted during their prime. Pretty much it.

LOL yeah he'd finally get that standing ovation he's yearned for since his 2002 return. :lmao

Vince's boys winning ALL their matches is what surprised people. He bent over and threw a bone the last WM but this time it wasn't going to happen. I could feel it in the air before the event that Vince was going to be extra stubborn about this years mania after having to give the fans what they want at the last two.
    9. [S-A-F]
      [S-A-F]
Well they weren't gonna have the Nose walk out of WM with the title were they? :maybe
    10. [S-A-F]
      [S-A-F]
That's true but eh I couldn't see them putting on a good show this time for some reason. Too much talent missing coupled with wasting 3 or 4 matches getting poor decisions made for them before the PPV happened had me going in with low expectations.

Dean/Brock being booked poorly was a surprise tho.
    11. [S-A-F]
      [S-A-F]
But they KNEW it was going to not be that good with all the injured talent and poor build-up. Oh well, I've been enjoying raw the last 2 weeks which is something I didn't think I'd say.
    12. [S-A-F]
      [S-A-F]
Everyone knew what to expect from mania tho. Did it really sap all their motivation to continue watching away?

Sad part is these last few raws haven't even been that bad.

You;re right the place is dying. Its almost time for raw and no one is posting.

      Don't worry about it.

As a Chicago Messiah fan Isee people talk shit about Punk to this day.

      You can't take it personally.

It's frustrating to see someone as over and talented as Dean not giving a fuck on how he's booked.

I'd happily put on a helmet and strap up for suplex city if it means getting a shot at pounding not just ol Thickie Mickie but prime Trish as well. :druul
    16. [S-A-F]
      [S-A-F]
Eh she ain't worth it. 30 times suplex city is a bit excessive for Sable's overrated tiddies.
    17. [S-A-F]
      [S-A-F]
I'd take the stiffest of pedigrees my dude. Just to get a shot at jumbo jugs in her prime.

Man that's a tough one. Which era Steph are we talking about? I'd probably turn it down for current steph.:hmm

yeah except for catching beatings from the fellas reffing divas matches back in the day looked like real fun.

yep I'd love to pound prime jackie, look at them big ol things. :druul

Well, I do know that Daniel Bryan was a bit undersized compared to the other guys. I mean, Ric Flair, Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels were pretty much the smallest guys that I remember that were main eventers/heavyweight champion at their peaks. What makes Dean stand out over Collins and Reigns? : O

Oh right. I remember that. Austin was heel when he did his famous Austin 3:16 rant. But the audience loved it so much that it just became a part of his character. It's too bad they got rid of Austin's wrestling ability since it didn't fit his character. He put on two great matches with Bret. Heel Cena was fun with his intro freestyles. :catskully
    23. Edward Cullen
      Edward Cullen
He was a heel? Oh right, he was the guy that originally betrayed the stable, right? Didn't he turn face after a bit? : O So what made Bryan so over? What makes Dean so over? And do you believe that HHH was never "the guy" in WWE but the "guy who fought the guy?" I totally agreed with it. #___# I mean from when I started watching, Austin was the most over just before I started, the Rock was the most over by far (Austin was still injured at this point though). Then Lesnar/Angle were about equal for a while, then Cena (when I stopped watching), then Punk, then Bryan, now Ambrose.

Really? Where would they perform? I would imagine the audience was much smaller.

Trying to bury people these days backfire more than not. Fans are more vocal now and it only makes the booing louder.

Also, this brings up an interesting question. When did fans start to really like heels? From what I remember, the only person I can think of that did poorly as a face and only made it big as a heel from what I can remember is the Rock after he ditched his original gimmick.
    24. Edward Cullen
      Edward Cullen
I see. Did he literally just go into the ring and just pin someone without doing anything other than getting to the ring in a hurry? If so, I could understand why Reigns's father got mad. At least make Collins put in the same amount of work as the guys involved in the match. :sag

Like around the time the first WM came out... how often did these guys put on matches? Once a week? Twice a month? I would imagine it wasn't nearly the same amount they do today at least. Granted, WWE didn't have such a tight hold on professional wrestling back then like they do now.

You can say that for every match. :hurr

And Dean really might not be involved at Mania. I have noticed his involvement with HHH/Reigns has gotten a bit weaker... Still, the whole Dean/HHH thing was weird timing if they didn't want him involved in any way...
    25. Edward Cullen
      Edward Cullen
So how did the Seth guy end up winning it? He cashed it in when both guys were down or something? : O But you can use it in the middle of a match? I mean, after a match... sure... but the middle of a match? This isn't the hardcore title, man. :mad

Oh, alright, well, the rosters were much smaller then IIRC. Speaking of which, they didn't have many events back then, right? Just some live shows and a few PPVs now and then? : O

So I guess they're not on DVD at all then. That's too bad. I guess it gives the people more incentive to buy tickets to see the event then.
    26. Edward Cullen
      Edward Cullen
Wait, you mean that Seth guy didn't cash the the money in the bank thing before the triple threat match started? I thought... you had to use it before the match starts... You know, like you have to put the money on the number before the wheel starts spinning and stuff... Of course, I'm not saying Edge put in a lot more work than Daniel Bryan did obviously but two matches is still two matches.

Really? I don't remember seeing everyone in WMX7 but that was a long time ago, so I could be wrong.

Oh yeah, they also had live performances and stuff... : O Wait, one important question. I heard they have a lot of dark matches now during PPVs. Do those make it on the DVD or is it something only the live audience gets to see once and only once?
    27. Edward Cullen
      Edward Cullen
But didn't he have a match earlier in the night too? If so, that's still two matches. : O

7 hours? Do they even have that many matches? Speaking of which... I often hear about how long Wrestlemanias are... but how does it add up? I know they have promos and entrances (speaking of which... do the live audience see the promos as well?) but it just never seems to add up really...
    28. Edward Cullen
      Edward Cullen
Didn't that Seth Collins dude also have two matches at WM? Edge won his first title in his second match of the night too at some January event IIRC.

So how long were the Manias before 2000? IIRC, X7 was also about 4 hours long. : O
